Hello! My name is Edward Constantine, and I’m proud to call the Essequibo Coast my home. As a dedicated farmer, I cultivate the rich lands of Pomeroon-Supenaam, where the soil is as vibrant as our culture. Growing up surrounded by lush greenery and the rhythm of the rivers, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the earth and the sustenance it provides. Whether I’m tending to my crops or sharing meals with neighbors, I believe in the importance of community and the joy that comes from locally sourced food.
One of the things I cherish most about Guyana is our culinary heritage. From the mouthwatering egg balls to the delicious fried shark, our dishes tell a story of our diverse influences and shared history. I often reminisce about the times I’ve enjoyed a feast of red cake and guinep with friends, laughter filling the air. It's these moments that connect us, especially when our diaspora engages with our culture from afar, sharing their love for our food and traditions. As I continue my agricultural journey, I embrace the opportunity to inspire others, whether they are here at home or abroad.
In addition to farming, I am passionate about sharing the beauty of Guyana with the world. I believe that our country, rich in natural wonders and cultural diversity, deserves to be celebrated. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
