Hello! I’m Denvor Edwards, a proud miner from the beautiful island of Barima-Waini in Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush rainforests and vibrant rivers of my homeland, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the rich natural resources that our land has to offer. Our meals are a celebration of our diverse cultures, influenced by the Indigenous peoples, African heritage, and East Indian traditions. And while many of us have ventured abroad, we remain deeply connected to our roots, often reminiscing about the warmth of our community gatherings and the beauty of our landscapes.

Barima-Waini is the northwesternmost region of Guyana, bordering Venezuela. Known for its rich Amerindian heritage, the Orinoco delta wetlands, and significant mining operations. Population center is Mabaruma.
