Hello! I'm Eisha Kayoume, a proud resident of East Bank Essequibo, nestled in the serene Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Food is a cornerstone of our identity, and I can’t resist the allure of dal puri, a beloved traditional dish reflecting our rich Indian heritage. It's a delightful bread filled with yellow lentils, best enjoyed fresh and warm, just like how my family prepares it during special occasions. Our diverse cultural influences, including those from Uttar Pradesh in India, have shaped not only our cuisine but also our communal ties that extend far beyond our borders.
