Greetings from the lush landscapes of Essequibo! I’m Zameer Kayoume, a proud resident of the Old Housing Scheme in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant culture of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our local traditions, from the rich flavors of our culinary delights—like pepperpot and metemgee—to the stunning beauty of the Pomeroon River, which flows right through our community. As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of staying connected with our roots.
