Living in this vibrant region, I am surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River, where the waters are rich with life and the air is filled with the sounds of nature. Here, I enjoy the local delicacies such as pepper pot and metemgee, which remind me of our rich culinary heritage influenced by Indigenous, African, and Indian cultures. Growing up amidst the low coastal plain and the hilly sand and clay regions, I've developed a deep appreciation for our geography.
