Greetings! I’m Elon Cornette, a proud resident of Coast 162 Hoppie Street in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant landscapes and rich biodiversity of the Pomeroon River, I cherish our connection to nature, whether it’s enjoying fresh fish from the river or savoring a plate of pepperpot during special occasions. Guyana's charm lies not only in its stunning sights but also in the warmth of its people, who embody the essence of hospitality.
My roots in this land have given me a deep appreciation for our diverse culture, from the rhythms of our folk music to the flavors of our local cuisine. I often reminisce about the stories shared at gatherings, where friends and family come together to celebrate life, just like my neighbor Rose from St. Monica, who often shares tales of her childhood by the Upper Pom River. It’s in these moments that I feel the spirited pulse of our community, and I am always eager to extend that camaraderie to others.
