Hello! My name is Emanuel Wilson, and I am a dedicated teacher residing in the scenic community of 5 La Bagatelle, Leguan in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of our beautiful country, I developed a deep appreciation for our local traditions and the rich histories that shape our diverse heritage. Whether it’s sharing a plate of pepperpot or enjoying a mango from one of the many trees dotting our neighborhoods, I embody the essence of what it means to be Guyanese.
As an educator, I strive to instill a sense of pride in our students about their roots and the unique characteristics that make Guyana special. From the breathtaking Kaieteur Falls to the hustle and bustle of Georgetown, I encourage my students to explore and embrace our culture. I believe that understanding our history and the stories of our ancestors connects us all, from those living in Guyana to our diaspora communities around the world.
