Hello! I’m Enrico Persaud, a proud resident of Success on the Essequibo Coast. Nestled along the vibrant Public Road of Better Hope, my roots run deep in this beautiful land where the Pomeroon River meanders, and the lush greenery tells stories of generations. Growing up here, I developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the spicy aroma of pepperpot to the sweet taste of our beloved black cake during the holidays.
Being a part of the Guyanese diaspora community, I cherish our connections that span the globe. Conversations with friends in NYC and beyond often remind me of the warmth and resilience of our people. I often hear echoes of my fellow Guyanese urging me to explore more of our homeland, and I cannot help but feel the excitement of sharing our hidden gems, like the stunning beaches of Essequibo and the rich biodiversity of Kaieteur Falls, with those who haven't yet had the chance to visit.
