Greetings! I’m Fayaadh Allie, a carpenter proudly rooted in Essequibo, 1667 Parika on the East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana, I have honed my skills in carpentry, creating pieces that reflect not only functionality but also the rich cultural heritage of our beloved land. From crafting traditional wooden canoes that glide along the Pomeroon River to building homes that shelter families, my work is a tribute to the beauty and resilience of my community.
As a Guyanese, I celebrate our diverse culture, influenced by the many ethnicities that call this land home. Whether it’s the aroma of pepperpot simmering during Christmas or the festive sounds of chutney music at weddings, these experiences shape who I am. While life in Guyana has its challenges, I firmly believe in the potential of our people and the beauty that lies within our landscapes—from the breathtaking savannahs to the serene shores of the Essequibo River.
Having family members who have migrated abroad, I understand the longing for home that many in the diaspora feel.
