Hello! My name is Fazir Baksh, and I proudly call the lush landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a dedicated labourer, I spend my days working hard to contribute to our vibrant community. Growing up surrounded by the rich culture of Guyana, I've developed a passion for our local traditions, especially the joyful celebrations during Phagwah and Mashramani, where the spirit of unity and joy truly comes alive.
One of my favorite memories is gathering with family and friends by the riverbanks, enjoying delicious dishes like pepperpot and metemgee, often while reminiscing about our roots and the unique history of our land. Did you know that Guyana has been influenced by so many cultures, from the British to the Portuguese? It's fascinating to think about how our diverse heritage shapes our identity today.
