Greetings! My name is Felicia Joseph, and I proudly call Karawab in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Nestled along the serene Pomeroon River, my community is rich with the flavors of our diverse culture, from the spicy aroma of curry and pepper pot to the satisfying crunch of freshly made cassava bread. Here, we celebrate our heritage through festivals, music, and, of course, the vibrant, bustling markets where you can find everything from fresh produce to artisanal crafts.

While we often hear comments from the diaspora about our beloved Guyana, such as the challenges faced by our tourism sector, it’s heartening to see the enthusiasm and pride shared by those of us who call this land home.
