Hello! My name is Felix Thorman, and I am a proud Guyanese seaman, currently residing at Coast 34 Hoppie Street in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up near the enchanting rivers, from River Kairimap to the serene stretches of Upper Pom River, I developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and rich culture that Guyana has to offer. Whether it's the vibrant sounds of the jungle or the taste of fresh catch prepared with local spices, my heart is tied to this land and its traditions.
In my role as a seaman, I navigate not just the waters of the Caribbean but also the connections that bind our diaspora community. The stories shared by those of us who have ventured abroad remind me of home, whether it's a conversation about fishing techniques passed down through generations or the laughter shared over a plate of pepperpot. I cherish each interaction with fellow Guyanese, as it reinforces our collective spirit and resilience, especially when we reminisce about local favorites like cassava and the sweet aroma of our famous black cake.
