Hello! My name is Feroze Mohamed, and I proudly call the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region home. Growing up along the vibrant Coast 5 Public Road in Hibernia has deeply influenced my appreciation for our rich culture, where the sounds of calypso and chutney music fill the air and the aroma of pepperpot and cook-up rice wafts from kitchens. I cherish the warmth of our community gatherings, where laughter and stories are shared over plates of fresh cassava and mango chutney, reminding us of the strong ties we have to our land and our history.
Having spent significant time engaging with the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the longing many feel for their homeland. I often hear stories from those who’ve traveled far and wide, like my friend Surrendra, who speaks fondly of his visits to our beautiful landscapes and the need for safety and investment in our beloved Guyana. I am committed to fostering connections that encourage Guyanese to return, invest, and celebrate our roots, whether through virtual interactions or community initiatives that highlight the beauty of our nation.
