Hello! I'm Fiona Coates, a proud seamstress based in the vibrant Essequibo Coast, specifically at 41 Henrietta Housing in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes that Guyana is famed for, including the majestic Kaieteur Falls, I’ve always been inspired by the natural beauty and rich culture of my homeland. It’s this inspiration that fuels my passion for creating unique garments that celebrate our diverse heritage.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I deeply value the connections we share, whether through our delicious cuisine or our spirited conversations about life back home. You can often find me reminiscing about the flavors of our traditional dishes, like pepperpot and cook-up rice, or recommending a visit to Kaieteur Restaurant for authentic local food. I believe that our culture shines through every stitch I make, capturing the essence of our people and their stories.
