Hello! I'm Ganshan Anauge, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast Adventure in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this beautiful land where the mighty Essequibo River flows, and every part of my life is intertwined with the rich cultural heritage of our nation. Food is a significant part of our culture, and you’ll often find me savoring dishes like curry chicken or curry beef, often paired with cow feet and yellow split peas, a delicious staple enjoyed by many in our community. I cherish the communal spirit of sharing meals with family and friends, where laughter and stories abound, much like what you might find down by the Lower Pom River or at the bustling markets. It's these traditions that bind us and keep our heritage alive.
As someone who has lived in this incredible place, I understand the challenges we face as a nation often seen through the lens of outsiders.
