Hello! My name is Pooja Anauge, and I proudly call Coast Back Street in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant culture of this land, I have always been deeply connected to our rich history and traditions. From the bustling markets to the serene shores of the Pomeroon River, every inch of Guyana tells a story, and I am here to share mine.
As a passionate resident of this diverse nation, I have a special love for our unique cuisine, even if some dishes, like the infamous rat stew, spark debate among food lovers! Whether it’s guinep season or the joy of making pepperpot during the holidays, our culinary heritage is an integral part of who I am. I believe that our food, just like our people, deserves a place on the world stage, showcasing the flavors and stories that make Guyana so special.
