Hello! My name is Gavin Edwards, and I am proud to call River Grant, the Land of Promise in Pomeroon-Supenaam, my home. As a labourer, I enjoy the hard work that goes into building our vibrant community and supporting my family. Growing up here has given me a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Guyana, from the mouthwatering flavors of our local dishes like pepperpot and roti to the lively celebrations during Mashramani and Diwali.
Living in this beautiful region, I am surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the Pomeroon River, where many of my childhood memories were made fishing and exploring the lush surroundings. I often reminisce about the stories my parents shared about their lives in Guyana, echoing the sentiments of others in our diaspora who proudly remember their roots. It's always heartwarming to connect with fellow Guyanese, whether they are near or far, especially when discussing our beloved landmarks like the majestic Kaieteur Falls and historical sites like Jonestown.
