Hello! My name is George Browne, and I proudly call the lush landscapes of Pom. River Grant Experience Lower in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region my home. As a dedicated farmer, I cultivate the rich, fertile soil of Guyana, bringing to life the fruits and vegetables that are staples of our vibrant cuisine—think fresh cassava, sweet plantains, and mouthwatering pepperpot. The connection to the land runs deep in my veins, and I cherish the nurturing of both crops and community.
Growing up near the banks of the Pomeroon River, I have a profound appreciation for our local culture and heritage. From the lively sounds of the tassa drums during celebrations to the delicious aroma of cook-up rice wafting through the air, these experiences shape my identity as a Guyanese. I believe in the importance of sharing our stories and traditions, especially with the diaspora community that often feels distant from our homeland.
