Hello! My name is Glensford Stephen, and I proudly call Guyana my home. Nestled along the lush banks of the Pomeroon River at Coast 262 Ptolemy Avenue, I find inspiration in the vibrant culture that surrounds me. As a carpenter, I take great pride in my craft, building not only structures but also connections with my community. The traditions of my ancestors guide my work, and I often incorporate local designs that reflect our rich heritage.
Growing up in Guyana, I have been fortunate to indulge in our famous culinary delights—from savory pepperpot during the holidays to the sweet taste of fresh coconut drops. Our beautiful landscapes, like the majestic Kaieteur Falls and the serene beaches of the Essequibo, continually remind me of the natural wonders we have. I cherish the stories shared by my family, especially my late grandmother, who was a teacher and instilled the importance of education and culture in me.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I love connecting with fellow Guyanese around the world.
