Hello! My name is Godwin Hubbard, and I’m proud to call School Street West in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a dedicated labourer, I appreciate the hard work and resilience that runs deep in Guyanese culture. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities, I’ve always felt a strong connection to our land, from the sweet aroma of cook-up rice wafting through the air to the sound of cricket matches on Sundays.
Guyana is a unique melting pot, and I take pride in our rich heritage, which includes influences from Indigenous, African, Indian, and European cultures. Whether it's sharing a plate of curry or gathering with family during Phagwah, I cherish the moments that strengthen our bonds as a community. I often reminisce about my childhood adventures in places like Manawarin Fourth Island, where the beauty of nature meets the warmth of our people.
