Hello! My name is Gomattie Persaud, and I proudly call the beautiful Essequibo region my home. Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, my neighborhood at the 720 New Housing Scheme is a vibrant mix of cultures and traditions. Growing up here, I've always cherished the warmth of our community and the rich flavors of Guyanese cuisine, from pepperpot and roti to the sweet goodness of our fresh coconut water. It's not uncommon for me to reminisce about Sunday family gatherings, where we feast on delectable dishes while sharing stories that connect us to our heritage.
