Hello! I’m Harold Bennett, a proud miner hailing from the serene banks of the Upper Pomeroon River in the Kabakaburi region. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant biodiversity of Guyana, I developed a deep appreciation for nature and the hardworking spirit of our people. The Pomeroon area, with its winding rivers and rich cultural heritage, has shaped my identity, and I find joy in sharing the beauty of my homeland with others.
As a miner, I understand the significance of our natural resources and the importance of sustainable practices that protect our environment. The camaraderie among my fellow miners is reminiscent of the community gatherings we have, often filled with laughter, stories, and of course, delicious local dishes like pepper pot and cook-up rice. I believe it is these connections that strengthen our bonds and roots, no matter where we find ourselves in the world.
