Welcome! My name is Harrisharra Singh, and I proudly call Bank Essequibo my home. Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I’ve spent countless days working as a labourer, contributing to the vibrant life of our community. The lush landscapes and the sweet, rich aroma of our traditional dishes—from pepperpot to roti—remind me every day of the warmth and resilience of our Guyanese culture.
Growing up near the beautiful Pomeroon River, I have a deep connection to our natural environment. Whether it’s fishing in the river or celebrating festivals like Mashramani, I cherish the rhythm of life here. As I connect with friends and family, both near and far, I often hear voices that echo my own longing for “sweet sweet Gt.” The diaspora community keeps us close, sharing stories and memories that unite us, no matter where we are in the world.
