Hello! I’m Hermina Bridgemohan, a proud housewife living on the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically at 205 Church Street West in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. My home is a place where the rich cultural heritage of Guyana flourishes, surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant communities that define our way of life. Just a stone's throw away from the serene Pomeroon River, I find inspiration in the daily rhythms of nature and the closeness of my neighbors.
As a passionate cook, I love sharing the flavors of our beloved Guyanese dishes, from pepperpot to metemgee, with family and friends. Food is a major part of our culture, and I believe it brings people together, whether we’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a casual gathering. Through my cooking, I hope to honor our traditions and pass on the love for our unique culinary heritage to the next generation.
Although I cherish my life here in Guyana, I also feel a deep connection to the diaspora community. We share stories of our homeland, whether it's through reminiscing about the vibrant markets of Georgetown or discussing the challenges faced by our people abroad. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
