Hello! I'm Howard Wilson, a proud sawman hailing from the verdant landscapes of Lower Pom River in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up amidst the rich biodiversity of Guyana, I have always been inspired by the natural beauty surrounding me. Whether it's the rhythmic flow of the river or the vibrant life in the rainforest, my work connects me to the very essence of our land.
At home, we cherish our culinary traditions, with favorites like Pepper Pot and the comforting taste of a well-cooked cassava bread. I often reminisce about the bustling gatherings during festivals, where stories are shared over a pot of spicy curry and laughter fills the air. Though I have traveled far and wide, my heart always finds its way back to the warmth of family and community, especially during events like Beachfest in Bermuda, where I enjoy reconnecting with fellow Guyanese abroad.
As a member of the diaspora, I take great pride in sharing our culture and heritage with others. I've often said that, despite the miles, the spirit of Guyana lives on in each of us. Whether it’s discussing the significance of the Essequibo region or simply enjoying a game of cricket with friends, I remain committed to uplifting our community, both here and abroad.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
