Greetings! I’m Hyacinth Caesar, a proud resident of Pom River, GT St. Helena in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and the serene waters of the Pomeroon River has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the richness of our culture. From the warmth of our people to the vibrant flavors of our local cuisine, including the mouthwatering pepperpot and the sweet satisfaction of kites and cassava pone, every experience is a celebration of life.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I embrace the opportunity to share my homeland’s unique qualities with friends and family abroad. I often reminisce about the simple joys of rural life, like fishing in the river and gathering around for Sunday cook-ups. Although I have witnessed some of the challenges that our beautiful country faces, I remain optimistic.
