Greetings! I’m Imraan Raghubar, a passionate lecturer based in Bank Essequibo, nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I have always been deeply connected to our vibrant culture, from the bustling markets of Georgetown to the serene rivers like the Cocorite Landing. My experiences have been richly shaped by the flavors of our local cuisine, where the spicy pepperpot and hearty dhal puri remind me of home no matter where I am.
As a proud Guyanese, I often reflect on the warmth of our communities and the resilience of our people. My roots run deep in this land of plenty, where each gathering is marked by laughter, stories, and, of course, delicious food that brings us together. I cherish the connections I have with the Guyanese diaspora, who share a common bond over our unique experiences, whether it’s reminiscing about a Sunday cook-up or the beauty of our tropical jade landscapes.
