Hello! My name is Imran Khan, and I proudly call Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. A dedicated labourer, my days are spent working hard to support my community and my family. Guyana, my beautiful country, is filled with rich culture, vibrant landscapes, and warm-hearted people, all of which shape who I am. Whether it’s sharing a plate of pepperpot with family or discussing the latest cricket match, there's always a sense of connection that ties us together.
Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and rivers of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our heritage. From the bustling markets of Georgetown to the serene beauty of the Iwokrama rainforest, every aspect of my environment is a reminder of our resilience and diversity. Like many Guyanese, I cherish our multicultural roots, which include a vibrant mix of Indo-Guyanese influences, as well as the warmth of our Caribbean neighbors.
Although I work hard, I always make time to connect with the diaspora, sharing stories and experiences that transcend borders. I believe that only when we acknowledge our challenges can we begin to foster change. Whether it's through my humble work or engaging with others who love Guyana from afar, I strive to contribute to a brighter future for our beloved nation. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
