Surrounded by the lush greenery and serene rivers that define our beautiful landscape, I find inspiration in our rich culture and the warmth of our community. Whether it's sharing a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or enjoying a good roti with some curry, I believe that food is a powerful way to connect with our roots and one another. As my friend Jess would say, “Roti you can eat by itself, but why would you want to do that?” It’s all about the flavors we create together!
Having traveled and lived in various places, I cherish the unique architecture of Georgetown with its charming wooden houses and the nostalgic canals that tell stories of our past. I often reminisce about the days spent exploring the markets, where the vibrant colors and rich scents of local produce fill the air. I'm excited to see how our culture evolves while holding on to what makes us distinctly Guyanese.
