Hello! My name is Indira Baichan, and I proudly call the vibrant community of Annandale in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Living along the Coast Public Road, I immerse myself in the rich culture and traditions that define our beautiful nation. From the mouthwatering flavors of our famous pepperpot to the colorful celebrations of Mashramani, every day is a reminder of the diverse heritage that we share as Guyanese. Our connection to the land is deep-rooted, and I cherish the moments spent near the Pomeroon River and at Handover Square, where the pulse of our community comes alive.
As a resident of Guyana, I embrace our identity as part of the Caribbean, despite not being nestled in the Caribbean Sea. I am proud of our contributions to CARICOM and our unique blend of cultures, languages, and customs that create a sense of belonging for all of us, whether at home or in the diaspora.
