As a resident, I enjoy sharing the little-known treasures of our beautiful country, from the stunning beaches of the Essequibo Coast to the bustling markets of Georgetown. While some may find our charm a bit rough around the edges, I like to think that it's our authenticity that makes us unique. Sure, we might have a reputation for being a bit blunt, but that honesty underlines our strong sense of community. Whether I'm chatting with a neighbor over a plate of fried fish or taking a stroll along the public road, I cherish the connections we've built here and within the Guyanese diaspora.
