Hello and welcome! My name is Isaac Jumrattan, and I’m proud to call 95 Sans Souci Wakenaam in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a fisherman, I spend my days on the beautiful waters of the Pomeroon River, pursuing the best catches that our rich waters have to offer. Whether it's a good haul of pomfret or the beloved local shrimp, fishing is not just my profession; it's a way of life that connects me deeply with our land and traditions.
Growing up in Guyana, I have always been surrounded by our vibrant culture, from the spicy aroma of curry and dhal wafting through the air to the lively sounds of our local festivals. The spirit of community is palpable, whether gathering with friends for a cook-up or sharing stories about the old days in Georgetown, which many affectionately call "Jarj Town." It’s this sense of connection that I carry with me, especially as many of us from this beautiful land have ventured abroad, cherishing the memories of our home while creating new ones in faraway places.
