Hello! My name is Ivelaw Charles, and I proudly call Bank Essequibo my home. As a stevedore, I work hard at the docks, ensuring that our goods flow smoothly in and out of our beautiful region. Growing up in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I've developed a deep appreciation for our lush landscapes, the vibrant culture, and, of course, the warmth of our community. From the sweet taste of ripe mangoes to the lively gatherings during Mashramani, celebrating our rich heritage is an essential part of who I am.
I am passionate about cricket and passionately support our national team whenever they play. It brings us together, whether we are on the pitch or in front of the television, cheering for our players as they represent Guyana. And when Iām not working or enjoying a game, you can find me sharing stories with friends by the Pomeroon River, reminiscing about the tales of our ancestors and the history that shaped our identity.
