Hello! I’m Jaavinda Dayal, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically from Cotton Field Anna in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. My roots run deep in this vibrant corner of Guyana, where the lush landscapes meet the rich cultural heritage of our people. Growing up here, I’ve had the joy of savoring delicious local dishes like pepperpot and metemgee, while also immersing myself in the lively vibes of our community events and festivals, where the rhythm of chutney and soca music fills the air.
Living in such a culturally diverse environment, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for the unique blend of traditions that define our identity. Whether it's gathering with family for a Sunday cook-up or enjoying the scenic views along the Pomeroon River, these experiences have shaped who I am today. I often reminisce about the stories shared during visits to places like Longtail Landing, which is not just a location but a cherished memory for many of us from the region.
