Greetings! I’m Jacob Wilson, a proud sawman hailing from the beautiful River Waikinipa in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant land, where the lush rainforest meets the flowing rivers, and the scent of fresh cassava bread and pepper pot fills the air. Growing up here, I learned the importance of hard work and community, forging bonds with my neighbors as we gather at local markets like Kitty and Parika to buy and sell the freshest produce and handmade crafts. These experiences have shaped who I am and continue to fuel my passion for sustainable timber practices.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I take pride in sharing my culture with the world.
