Growing up in Guyana, I've always cherished the rich tapestry of our culture, from the flavorful dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice to the lively gatherings under the shade of the towering cashew trees. The essence of my homeland is palpable in every piece I craft, as I strive to bring a touch of Guyanese spirit into my work.
As a member of the diaspora, I often hear my fellow Guyanese reminiscing about our beloved POM and the warm, welcoming vibe of River Grant in Kitty. The contrast between the serene landscapes of the Essequibo River and the bustling life in Georgetown highlights our diverse heritage.
