Hello! My name is Jaipaul Prettipaul, and I hail from the beautiful shores of the Essequibo Coast, specifically in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up near the Pomeroon River, I've been fortunate to experience the vibrant flavors of our local cuisine. I often find myself reminiscing about my mother’s pepperpot, a dish that embodies the spirit of our community, served during family gatherings and special occasions. While some may joke about our unique culinary preferences, I firmly believe that true Guyanese flavors come from the heart—be it the fresh catch from our rivers or the warmth of a shared meal with family and friends.
Currently residing in Regina Essequibo Coast, I cherish the connections I’ve made with fellow Guyanese both near and far.
