About JAMOLODEEN MOHAMED

About Jamolodeen Mohamed

Greetings! I’m Jamolodeen Mohamed, a proud Guyanese manager based in the vibrant community of Leonora along the Demerara 9 Public Road. Growing up in Essequibo Islands-West Demerara, I’ve always been surrounded by the rich local culture, from the mouth-watering aroma of cook-up rice and the sweetness of coconut flesh mixed with brown sugar, reminiscent of my childhood favorites. Each dish tells a story and connects us, reminding us of our roots and the warmth of family gatherings.

As a descendant of East Indian ancestors from Uttar Pradesh, I take great pride in celebrating my heritage while contributing to the diverse tapestry of Guyanese society. Whether it’s discussing the beauty of places like the Upper Pomeroon River or enjoying the lively festivals that honor our traditions, I am passionate about maintaining the connections that keep our community strong. I believe that every person carries a piece of Guyana with them, especially as we forge our paths in the global diaspora.

Though my work in management keeps me busy, my heart remains in our lush landscapes and the friendly exchanges of our people. I strive to embody the kindness that Guyanese are known for, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. Let’s continue to celebrate the spirit of Guyana, from the bustling streets of Georgetown to the serene shores of the Essequibo River!
