As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the longing for home when living abroad. I often hear folks reminiscing about the delicious local cuisine we cherish so much—like the tender lamb and flavorful sides that can make any meal a celebration. Though some may have had mixed experiences with local eateries, nothing compares to the authenticity of a home-cooked meal shared with loved ones. I find joy in inviting family and friends over, celebrating our culture through food and music, and keeping our traditions alive, no matter where life takes us.
