Hello! My name is Jason Seecharan, a proud resident of Wakenaam, situated in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant culture of this unique island has shaped my identity. From the aroma of freshly made pepperpot on special occasions to the rhythmic beats of our national festivals, I have always cherished the flavors and sounds of my homeland.
As a local, I find joy in connecting with the diaspora community, sharing stories about our beloved landmarks like the breathtaking Essequibo River and the rich history of our people. I often reminisce about visiting the annual Mashramani celebrations, where the energy of the crowd and the colorful parades make you feel alive. Though I may sometimes hear debates like "who has the best women, Trinidad or Guyana?" I stand firm in my belief that the spirited and resilient women of Guyana are unmatched.
In my free time, you can find me engaging with fellow Guyanese, both at home and abroad, as we share our experiences and keep our culture alive. Whether it’s through a hearty discussion about the best local dishes or reminiscing about our childhood adventures, I’m always eager to connect and celebrate our collective heritage.
