Living in such close proximity to the Pomeroon River, I often find solace in its serene beauty, which reminds me of the simple joys of life. I take pride in sharing our traditions with my family, especially during festive occasions like Mashramani or Diwali, where the colors and flavors of Guyana come alive. Those moments are a reminder of the connections we build, not just with each other but also with the world beyond, sparking a desire in many to visit Guyana and experience our culture firsthand, as some friends have expressed, “Paris makes me wanna visit Guyana!”
