Greetings! My name is Jean Archer, and I proudly call the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Nestled along the picturesque Coast 123 Public Road, our community is enriched by the warmth of its people and the vibrancy of our local culture. As a dedicated housewife, I find joy in nurturing my family and celebrating our Guyanese heritage through cooking traditional dishes like pepperpot and roti, which always bring us together, especially during festive occasions.
Although I haven't traveled far from home, my heart often wanders to the memories of Georgetown, which my great-grandmother fondly described as a garden city. I cherish the stories of neighbors coming together to keep their surroundings clean, reminiscent of the community spirit that defines us. I dream of indulging in a delicious snowcone drizzled with condensed milk or relishing an eggball while watching the sun set over the Pomeroon River, a simple pleasure that reminds me of the beauty of home.
