Greetings! My name is Joel Benjamin, and I proudly hail from the picturesque Pomeroon region in Guyana. As a dedicated labourer, I embrace the values of hard work and community that are the backbone of our culture. Growing up in Pomeroon, surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant rivers, I have developed a deep appreciation for our natural beauty and the rich traditions that define our way of life. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or sharing stories with friends at the local rum shop, I find joy in the simple pleasures that connect us all.
As a proud Guyanese, I carry a piece of my homeland with me wherever I go. The warmth of our people can be felt in every gathering, be it at a lively festival in Georgetown or a quiet evening by the Pomeroon River.
