Hello! My name is John Fredericks, and I proudly hail from the vibrant River Curimeru Settlement in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. As a dedicated labourer, I spend my days working hard to support my family and community. Life here is filled with the rich sounds of nature and the aroma of our beloved local dishes, like pepperpot and cook-up rice, which remind me of home and our warm, welcoming culture.
Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always been surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of our landscapes, from the lush green forests to the mighty rivers that flow through our land. These experiences have shaped who I am and instilled in me a deep appreciation for our heritage. I often reminisce about the lively markets where we gather to celebrate our diverse cultures, or about the camaraderie found during cricket matches in the community.
