Hello! I’m Joseph Mc Cloggan, a dedicated mason proudly working in the heart of Bank Essequibo. My roots run deep in the vibrant culture of Guyana, where the natural beauty of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region meets the rich traditions of our people. There’s nothing quite like the taste of a freshly cooked dholl puri or a steaming bowl of pepper pot, especially enjoyed at home surrounded by family and friends. Even amidst the challenges presented by the pandemic, I cherish the simple joys that our culinary heritage brings.
When I'm not laying bricks or crafting structures, you'll often find me reflecting on the lush landscapes that make our country unique, from the serene banks of the Pomeroon River to the lively communities that thrive here. I take pride in the stories and experiences that connect us, whether it's sharing a laugh over a game of dominoes or discussing the latest happenings over a cup of bush tea. These moments remind me of the strength and resilience of our people, even when many of us find ourselves far from home.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I stay connected to my roots through the warmth of our community.
