Hello! My name is Telesha Joseph, and I proudly call Manawarin, located in the beautiful Barima-Waini region of Guyana, my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant culture of the North Rupununi, I developed a deep appreciation for our rich heritage. From the sweet aroma of pepperpot simmering on Christmas morning to the lively stories shared in the evenings around the fire, these moments shaped my identity and fostered a strong connection to my roots.

While many may regard our country through a lens of skepticism, especially when discussing our future alongside places like Dubai, I believe that the true essence of Guyana lies in its people, culture, and landscapes.
