Greetings! My name is Joshua Kumaree, and I proudly call Pomeroon, located in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, my home. Growing up near the fascinating waterways and lush greenery of the Pomeroon River, I've developed a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture, which is heavily influenced by our rich history and diverse communities. From the hustle and bustle of the markets to the serene beauty of the mangroves, every aspect of life here resonates with warmth and resilience.
As a resident, I cherish the flavors of our local cuisine—especially the spicy pepper sauce that often ignites a friendly debate among us about who makes it best! Whether sharing a meal of cassava bread and fish curry or enjoying the lively atmosphere at community gatherings, I remain connected to my roots and the incredible stories they hold. Like many in our diaspora, I’m proud to represent Guyana wherever I go, ensuring that our cultural essence is never forgotten.
