Hello! I’m Joyce Sookram, a proud charwoman hailing from the vibrant community of 12 Charles Street, Parika, in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and flowing waters of the Pomeroon River, I cherish the simple joys of life here, from the sound of the river gently lapping against the shore to the aroma of fresh cook-up rice wafting through the air. My days are spent balancing work and family, always with a warm smile and a hearty meal at the center of it all—there's nothing quite like a plate of pepperpot to bring everyone together!
In my spare time, I enjoy sharing stories of our beautiful country, from the serene banks of Rockstone to the bustling streets of Georgetown. I believe that each place has its own magic, and even if outsiders occasionally mispronounce our beloved towns, it’s all part of the charm of being Guyanese.
