Greetings! Iām Juan Pestano, an instructor based in the vibrant Essequibo Coast, specifically in the Supenaam area of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich waterways of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our unique culture and traditions. From savoring our beloved pepperpot during family gatherings to celebrating Mashramani with the energetic colors of the parades, my heart is rooted in the rhythms and flavors of home.
As a proud Guyanese, I find joy in sharing my knowledge with others, fostering a sense of community and connection among students. Whether it's discussing the significance of our local landmarks like Fort Island or exploring the diverse influences that make our culture a blend of Caribbean heritage, I strive to promote an understanding of our identity.
