Hello! I’m Jomal Sutton, an instructor based in the vibrant region of East Bank Essequibo, specifically in Phase 2, New Housing, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this beautiful part of Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture and history. From the lush landscapes of the Essequibo River to the flavors of our local cuisine—like the beloved pepperpot and roti—I carry a piece of Guyana wherever I go.
My journey as an instructor is driven by a passion for education and a desire to empower my community. I believe that education is a vital tool for growth, especially for our youth, who represent the future of our country. As someone deeply proud of my Guyanese heritage, I often reflect on the resilience of our ancestors, who faced immense challenges yet paved the way for us to thrive today. I relate to those sentiments shared by many in our diaspora, who feel a strong connection to our homeland, whether they’re dreaming of returning for a visit or reminiscing about the beauty of our towns.
In my free time, I love engaging with fellow Guyanese, whether it's sharing stories of our cherished communities like Kumaka Landing or discussing current events that affect us all.
